Survived by : his wife of 47 years, Ramona Banton Jordan; a son, Joseph “Scott” Jordan; a daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” Stokes and husband, D.C.; four brothers, Kenneth, Clarence Wayne, Mike and Lewis Jordan; and sisters, Mary Frances Walker, Betty Wood, Audrey Solomon, Dot Gilbert, Sue Woodson, Faye Cooper, and Lynn Smith; five grandchildren, Courtney and Dustin Hansen, Haley and Justin Jordan, and Stephanie and Bailey Stokes; two great-grandchildren, Jocelynn and Raelynn; and special friends, Tyler and Megan Cersley, and Cameron Bryant.

Joe was a successful business owner, having owned two grocery stores in Scottsville. He then worked as a bus driver for both Albemarle and Fluvanna County Transportation.
He was a member of the Scottsville Volunteer Fire for 39 years and served as Chief for 11 years. He was also an E.M.T. and life member of the Scottsville Rescue Squad. His biggest attribute was serving his community and giving back to others.
